Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Lay out a sheet of aluminum foil on your work surface to use for rolling and wrapping the meat.
Arrange the bacon slices close together on the foil, overlapping them slightly. Season the ground meat with salt and pepper and spread it evenly over the bacon. Sprinkle with the grated cheese, then use the foil to help roll everything up tightly.
Place the foil-wrapped roll seam-side down in a baking dish and bake for about 40 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 15–20 minutes, until the bacon is browned. Make sure the meat is cooked through in the center: when cut, it should no longer be pink and the juices should run clear.
Let the baked roll rest briefly, then cut into slices.
Tip: Before baking, you can coat the roll in corn flour.
Tip: Arrange the bacon slices in the direction you will roll so they wrap all the way around the roll. This helps hold it together during baking and keeps it from unrolling.
