Privacy policy
Effective from October 24, 2026.
Who runs this website
The website familyhomerecipes.com (Family Home Recipes) is run by PDP SK s.r.o. (company ID 55 385 001), which also publishes the Slovak recipe website Domáce recepty. Please send any questions about privacy to info@domacerecepty.sk.
What data we process
You can use this website without an account and without entering any personal data. There are no comments, forms or user accounts on it.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider automatically records the IP address, time, requested page and browser type. This is needed to run and secure the website (legitimate interest), and the logs are deleted after a while. The photos on this website are loaded from domacerecepty.sk, which is run by the same operator and whose server records the same technical data.
- Data in your browser. When you tick off ingredients or steps in a recipe, your browser remembers it (localStorage) so that you do not lose your progress. It also remembers your choice in the cookie bar, whether you do not want your visits counted and whether you closed the offer of another language version. These data stay in your browser – we do not receive them – and you can delete them in your browser settings at any time.
Our own visitor statistics (without cookies)
To know which recipes you read and how you find us, we count visits with our own simple measurement on the server of domacerecepty.sk. It does not use cookies, stores nothing on your device and sends nothing to other companies. It records only data that your browser sends when loading a page anyway. That is why it does not depend on your consent in the cookie bar.
- What we record: the address of the page viewed, the time, the name of the website you came from (for example google.com, without the address of the particular page), the campaign label from the link (utm parameters), the type of device, browser and operating system according to its identification, the browser language and how long the page was displayed.
- We do not store your IP address. To count visitors per day, we create a one-way fingerprint from the IP address and the browser identification with a key that changes every day. We delete the previous day’s key, so afterwards the fingerprint can no longer be linked to any address or person, and visits from different days cannot be connected.
- How long: detailed records for 120 days, after that only daily totals (for example the number of views of a recipe per day).
- Legal basis: legitimate interest in visitor statistics and in improving the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Only we process the data, on our own server; we do not share them with anyone or combine them with other data.
- Objection: if you do not want us to count your visits, click the button below. The choice is saved only in your browser.
Visitor measurement (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure visits. The service collects data about which pages are read and where visitors come from. It stores cookies only when you click “Accept” in the cookie bar. Without consent it sends only anonymous signals without cookies or identifiers (Google consent mode). Your browser remembers the choice for 12 months. You can change it at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer or the button below. If you withdraw consent, the Google Analytics cookies are deleted from your browser. More at policies.google.com/privacy.
Advertising and third-party cookies (Google AdSense)
This website may show advertisements from Google AdSense. For these:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this website and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of some other vendors’ personalised ads at youronlinechoices.eu.
- How Google uses data from websites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Ads are not shown on this website yet.
Before ads are switched on, we will also ask for your consent to advertising cookies in the cookie bar.
Sharing and social networks
The share buttons (Facebook, Pinterest, WhatsApp, email) are ordinary links. The website does not load any scripts, buttons or cookies of social networks, so a network learns about your visit only when you click its link. Its privacy policy then applies.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict processing, to data portability and to object to processing. You can withdraw consent at any time. If you think we handle your data incorrectly, you can lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic or with the data protection authority in the country where you live.
Changes
We may update this policy, for example when a new service is added to the website. The current version is always on this page.
