This tartar sauce is made with hard-boiled eggs, milk, and oil, so you don't need the usual raw egg yolks. Finely chopped cucumbers, onion, mustard, and vinegar also go into the blender. Add the oil gradually while blending until the sauce thickens. Add salt, sugar, and black pepper to taste only at the end. Serve the homemade tartar sauce with fried foods or French fries.

Instructions

Tip: tap a step to mark it as done.

  1. Hard-boil the eggs. Finely chop the cucumbers.

  2. Place all the ingredients except the oil in a blender and blend until smooth. While blending, you can gradually add the oil a little at a time.

  3. Adjust the seasoning only at the end.

Tip: Keep the homemade tartar sauce with milk and cooked eggs refrigerated and use within two days. Drain the cucumbers before blending, as their liquid would thin the sauce.
