Beef meatballs in onion gravy are a simple main dish that pairs perfectly with mashed potatoes. Ground beef is mixed with breadcrumbs, egg, ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce, then shaped into meatballs 3–4 cm in diameter. After browning in olive oil, they are served in a gravy made with onions cooked in butter, chicken broth, and Worcestershire sauce, thickened with cornstarch. Sprinkle parsley over the top.

Instructions
Tip: tap a step to mark it as done.
Gather all the ingredients for the meatballs and gravy.
Place all the meatball ingredients except the olive oil in a large bowl and mix thoroughly with your hands. Shape into meatballs 3–4 cm in diameter.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet and brown the meatballs on all sides, working in batches. Set the browned meatballs aside.
Heat the butter in the same skillet and sauté the onion. In a bowl, mix the broth with the cornstarch, add the remaining gravy ingredients, and pour the mixture into the skillet with the onion. Cook for 3–5 minutes, until the gravy thickens.
Stir the cooked meatballs into the gravy and garnish with parsley before serving.
Tip: Serve the meatballs with mashed potatoes.
Tip: The meatballs may not cook all the way through when browned in the skillet, so simmer them in the gravy over low heat for a few more minutes; they must not remain pink inside.
