This carbonara-style potato bake with turkey and bacon is a variation on the familiar spaghetti dish, using whole boiled potatoes in a cream sauce instead. The potatoes are topped with slices of butter and covered with a mixture of cream and egg, followed by onion sautéed with turkey and crispy bacon. The dish bakes for 30 minutes at 200 °C (400 °F) and is sprinkled with Parmesan near the end. While it bakes, it needs no attention.

Instructions
Tip: tap a step to mark it as done.
Preheat the oven to 200 °C (400 °F) and get a baking dish ready. Peel the potatoes and boil them whole in salted water until cooked but not falling apart.
Arrange the cooked potatoes in the baking dish. Whisk the egg with the cream, salt, and pepper.
Finely chop the onion and sauté it in oil until translucent, then add the turkey. Fry the bacon in a separate skillet.
Arrange slices of butter over the potatoes, pour the cream sauce over them, and top with the onion and turkey mixture and the fried bacon.
Sprinkle with chopped parsley and bake for 30 minutes. Shortly before the end, remove the dish from the oven, sprinkle with Parmesan, and return to the oven briefly to finish baking.
Tip: Whisk the egg and cream together until the egg white is fully incorporated; otherwise, it will set into white lumps in the oven and the sauce will not be smooth.
