Creamy carbonara with Orava bacon, a Slovak smoked bacon, and Parmesan is a quick version of the popular spaghetti dish, with a sauce made from egg yolks and heavy whipping cream. The bacon is cut into thin strips and cooked until translucent, then finely chopped garlic and drained spaghetti cooked al dente are added. A mixture of egg yolks, cream, salt, and pepper is then stirred in. Sprinkle the finished pasta with grated Parmesan and parsley; the whole dish is on the table in about 25 minutes.

Instructions
Tip: tap a step to mark it as done.
Gather all the ingredients: spaghetti, egg yolks, cream, bacon, garlic, Parmesan, and parsley.
Cook the spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Place the egg yolks and cream in a bowl, add salt and pepper, and mix.
Cut the bacon into thin strips. Peel and finely chop the garlic. Cook the bacon in oil until translucent, add the garlic, cook briefly, then stir in the drained pasta.
Turn off the heat, pour the egg mixture over the pasta, and toss to combine. Immediately divide among plates and serve sprinkled with Parmesan and parsley.
Tip: Warm the plates beforehand, as the egg yolk and cream sauce will quickly thicken and set on cold plates. Grate the Parmesan very finely so it melts evenly over the hot spaghetti.
