Homemade Pribináčik is a smooth, creamy dessert made with plain yogurt, sour cream, and cane sugar, reminiscent of the popular Slovak store-bought dairy dessert. The ingredients are blended for about three minutes, then bloomed and warmed gelatin is added, taking care not to let it boil. The preparation itself takes about 15 minutes, and the dessert then sets in the refrigerator. Vanilla sugar gives it its characteristic aroma.

Instructions

Tip: tap a step to mark it as done.

  1. Prepare the gelatin according to the package directions: let it bloom, then warm it. Do not let it boil.
  2. Combine the yogurt, sour cream, and sugar in a blender and blend for about 3 minutes. Add the prepared gelatin and blend thoroughly again.
  3. Garnish the finished Pribináčik as desired, for example with walnuts, chocolate, or mixed berries.

Tip: Stir two tablespoons of the yogurt mixture into the warm gelatin before pouring it into the blender; otherwise, the gelatin could form rubbery strands in the cold yogurt.
