Baked tuna pasta with olives and lemon is a quick meal made by tossing cooked pasta with a lemon juice and zest sauce. A little pasta cooking water and chopped olives go into the lemon base, followed by the pasta and tuna with its oil. The mixture is seasoned with basil, topped with hard cheese, and baked for 5–10 minutes at 180 °C (350 °F). It makes a quick lunch using pantry staples.

Instructions
Tip: tap a step to mark it as done.
- Cook the pasta in boiling salted water.
- Add the lemon juice and zest to a skillet and warm over low heat. Add a little pasta cooking water and the chopped olives, season with salt and pepper, stir well, and simmer briefly.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, gently fold in the tuna along with the oil from the can, and season to taste with chopped basil.
- Transfer the pasta to a small baking dish or divide it between two small baking dishes. Sprinkle generously with grated cheese and bake in an oven preheated to 180 °C (350 °F) for 5–10 minutes.
Tip: Choose tuna packed in oil rather than water—the oil from the can forms the base of the sauce. Fold it in gently to leave larger chunks in the pasta.
