Chocolate bowls made with balloons are edible dark chocolate cups you can fill with ice cream, fruit, whipped cream, or pudding. Melt the chocolate in a bowl over hot water, then dip inflated water balloons into it to form firm shells. Be sure to let the chocolate cool to about 30 °C (86 °F), or the balloons could burst. Besides 300 g of chocolate, all you need are balloons, a pin, and parchment paper.

You will also need:
- 2 bowls
- A pin
- Parchment paper
- A spoon
- Your choice of filling: ice cream, fruit, whipped cream, or pudding
Melt the chocolate in a bowl over hot water, then let it cool to about 30 °C (86 °F).
Warmer chocolate could burst the balloon, leaving you with a whole kitchen to clean. Spoon a small mound of chocolate onto the parchment paper.
Dip the balloon into the chocolate to the depth you want your bowl to be. Set it on the prepared mound of chocolate and let it stand for 15 minutes. Then pierce the balloon with a pin and remove all the balloon pieces.
Tip: Wash the inflated balloons and dry them thoroughly, as chocolate will not adhere well to a damp surface. Pierce them near the knot with a pin so the air escapes slowly and the thin chocolate bowls do not crack.
