Pork chops with smoked cheese and cream are prepared in one baking dish and are perfect for lunch or a more festive dinner. Season the chops with salt and pepper, coat them in flour, and place them in a greased baking dish. Spread with mustard, top with sliced onions, and sprinkle with smoked cheese. Pour in the cream and add the bay leaves and a little white wine.
Bake the chops covered with foil for 40 minutes at 200 °C (400 °F), then uncover and bake for another 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown. Serve with potatoes.

Instructions

Season the pork chops with salt and pepper and coat them in flour. Place in an ovenproof dish greased with olive oil, spread with mustard, arrange the sliced onions on top, and sprinkle with the cheese.
Pour in the cream, add the bay leaves and a little white wine, and cover with foil. Bake for 40 minutes at 200 °C (400 °F), then remove the foil and bake for another 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
Serve with potatoes and a good wine.
Tip: Stretch the foil over the dish so it does not touch the cheese; otherwise, the cheese will stick to it and pull off when you uncover the dish.
