One-pot tomato spaghetti with oregano and cheese cooks right in the sauce, so you don't need another pot or a colander. Break the spaghetti in half, cover it with canned tomatoes and water in a pot, and add onion, sliced garlic, oregano, basil, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Once it comes to a boil, cook for ten minutes, stirring about every two minutes. Sprinkle with grated cheese before serving. Makes four servings.

Instructions

Tip: tap a step to mark it as done.

  1. Break the spaghetti in half and place it in a pot. Add the canned tomatoes, chopped onion, and sliced garlic.

  2. Add the herbs, salt, and pepper, pour in the water, and bring to a boil. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring about every 2 minutes.

  3. Sprinkle the spaghetti with grated cheese before serving.

Tip: As soon as the water comes to a boil, separate the spaghetti with a fork so it doesn't stick together in a clump. If it is still firm after ten minutes and the liquid has evaporated, add a little hot water.
