These baked ground pork patties with grated potatoes and cheese let you prepare the meat and side dish together. Arrange thin ground pork patties, no more than 1 centimeter thick, on a baking sheet. Top them with coarsely grated boiled potatoes mixed with mayonnaise, sautéed onion, and a mixture of grated hard-boiled eggs and cheese. Bake everything at 180 °C (350 °F) to serve four people.

Instructions

Tip: tap a step to mark it as done.

  1. Peel and boil the potatoes. Let them cool, then coarsely grate them into a bowl. Add 1 tbsp mayonnaise and salt and pepper to taste, and mix well. Chop the onion and sauté it in vegetable oil until golden brown.

  2. Hard-boil the eggs, cool them, peel them, and finely grate them. Stir in a little mayonnaise and the finely grated cheese.

  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and grease it with a little butter. Shape the ground pork into thin patties no more than 1 centimeter thick and arrange them on the sheet, keeping them evenly sized with small gaps between them.

  4. Top the meat with the sautéed onion, then the egg and mayonnaise mixture, and finally a layer of grated potatoes. If desired, add a little more mayonnaise to the potatoes.

  5. Sprinkle with cheese and bake at 180 °C (350 °F) for half an hour.

Tip: Cut the baked portions along the gaps between the patties so each serving has a whole meat patty and the potato and egg layers stay in place when transferred to a plate.
