Honey mustard chicken thighs with garlic bake in the oven under a sweet and tangy glaze that keeps the meat juicy. First, coat the thighs in flour seasoned with paprika, salt, and pepper, then pour over a mixture of honey, mustard, oil, and crushed garlic. Bake covered with foil for the first 30 minutes, then uncovered for another 15 minutes. They make a welcome change from chicken breasts, and you can serve them with a side dish of your choice.

Instructions

Tip: tap a step to mark it as done.

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 °C (400 °F). Mix the flour with the black pepper, salt, and paprika. Coat the thighs in this mixture, dip them in oil, and transfer to a baking dish.

  2. Mix the honey, mustard, 2 tbsp oil, and crushed garlic, then pour over the chicken. Cover the baking pan or dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

  3. Remove the foil and bake for about 15 more minutes. Serve with a side dish of your choice.

Tip: During the last 15 minutes, baste the thighs once or twice with the pan juices so the honey and mustard bake into a glossy glaze on the skin and the meat stays moist.
