Pork slices baked with sour cream and cheese are one of the simplest oven-baked meat dishes, since the meat needs no searing first. Arrange the raw pork slices in a baking dish, scatter strips of bell pepper and hot chili pepper over them, pour over the sour cream, and top with a generous layer of grated cheese. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes at 175 to 180 °C (about 350 °F). For a mild version, simply leave out the hot chili pepper.

Instructions

Tip: tap a step to mark it as done.

  1. Arrange the pork slices in a baking dish and scatter the peppers, cut into strips, over them. Pour the sour cream over everything and cover with a thick layer of grated cheese.

  2. Bake at 175–180 °C (about 350 °F) for approximately 35–40 minutes.

Tip: Pound the raw pork slices thin and arrange them side by side in a single layer in the baking dish so they cook evenly under the sour cream and cheese.
