This hot orange drink is an alcohol-free winter beverage made with orange juice flavored with cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom, suitable for children too. The spices are tied in cheesecloth and simmered with the juice, sugar, and lemon juice for 10 minutes, then left to steep for another 15 minutes. The glass rims are rubbed with orange and dipped in sea salt. Serve this drink hot in four glasses, garnished with a slice of blood orange.

Instructions
Tip: tap a step to mark it as done.
Gently warm the orange juice in a saucepan. Tie the spices in a piece of cheesecloth and add them to the juice along with the sugar and lemon juice. Simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes, then remove from the heat and let steep for another 15 minutes.
Remove the spice bundle and reheat the orange drink.
Rub the rims of 4 glasses with a halved orange and dip them in sea salt. Carefully pour the hot orange drink into the prepared glasses, garnish with a slice of blood orange, and serve.
Tip: You can replace the cheesecloth with a paper coffee filter: wrap the spices in it, tie it with kitchen string, and simply remove it after steeping.
