Bananas in puff pastry are a quick, warm dessert made by wrapping peeled bananas in strips of pastry sprinkled with vanilla sugar. Brush them with egg, bake for about 15 minutes at 190 °C (375 °F), and finish with walnuts and chocolate. One package of pastry makes four servings. Serve with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Instructions
Tip: tap a step to mark it as done.
- Preheat the oven to 190 °C (375 °F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Lay out the rolled puff pastry, sprinkle with vanilla sugar, and gently press the sugar into the pastry with a rolling pin. Cut the pastry into 4 equal strips.
- Peel the bananas and wrap each one in a strip of pastry. Place on the baking sheet, brush with egg, and bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, melt the butter and chocolate in a small saucepan, stirring constantly. Toast the walnuts in a dry skillet.
- Let the baked bananas cool slightly, drizzle with the melted chocolate, and sprinkle with the walnuts. Serve immediately.
Tip: Choose firm bananas, as overripe ones will turn mushy in the oven. Wrap the pastry strips around the bananas with a slight overlap and tuck the ends underneath to keep them from unraveling.
