Chocolate granola with hazelnuts and honey is a homemade breakfast mix of rolled oats, coarsely chopped nuts, and cocoa powder. The ingredients are combined with chocolate-hazelnut spread and honey, then slowly baked on a baking sheet for 40 to 50 minutes at 120–140°C (250–285°F), stirring several times. Chopped chocolate is stirred into the cooled granola, which is stored in a sealed container in a dry place. For a less sweet version, you can leave out the chocolate spread.

Instructions
Tip: tap a step to mark it as done.
Coarsely chop the nuts and combine them with the oats and cocoa powder in a bowl. Add the chocolate-hazelnut spread and honey and stir to combine.
Spread the mixture on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in an oven preheated to 120–140°C (250–285°F) for 40–50 minutes. Stir several times during baking to keep it from burning.
Let the granola cool on the baking sheet, then stir in the finely chopped chocolate. Transfer to a jar or container with a tight-fitting lid and store in a dry place.
Tip: The granola will not be crunchy in the oven; it becomes crunchy only after cooling, so do not extend the baking time. The cocoa can also hide signs that it is starting to burn.
