Semolina porridge with protein and cocoa is a thick milk-based porridge with vanilla protein powder stirred in after cooking. Do not cook the protein powder: mix it with a little cold milk and add it only once the porridge stops bubbling, or it will form lumps. Unlike semolina porridge with cocoa and butter, this version has no butter or sugar on top, just cocoa and a teaspoon of honey.

Based on the ingredients, each serving contains approximately 30 g of protein and 400 kcal.

Instructions

Tip: tap a step to mark it as done.

  1. Heat the milk

    5 min

Pour 100 ml of the 600 ml milk into a cup and keep it cold. Bring the remaining milk to a boil in a saucepan with a pinch of salt.

  2. Cook the semolina

    5 min

Pour the semolina into the boiling milk in a thin stream, whisking constantly. Cook over low heat for 3–4 minutes, until the porridge thickens. Meanwhile, mix the protein powder with the reserved cold milk until smooth and free of lumps.

  3. Stir in the protein

    2 min

Remove the porridge from the heat and let it stand for 1 minute, until it stops bubbling. Stir in the protein mixture, then whisk briefly.

  4. Serve

    2 min

Divide the porridge between two plates, sprinkle with cocoa, and drizzle with honey. Serve warm.

Tip: Always mix the protein powder with cold milk and add it only after the porridge stops bubbling to prevent lumps. The porridge will continue to thicken briefly, so serve it right away.
