This two-tone Bundt cake with cocoa and sweetened condensed milk has a chocolate bottom layer and a delicate, custard-like light layer on top. The cocoa batter combines flour, cocoa powder, sugar, sour cream, oil, and eggs, while the light layer combines sweetened condensed milk, milk, and eggs. Gently pour the light mixture over the cocoa batter to keep the layers separate. This cake, made from Grandma's recipe, stays soft for days.

  2. Start with the cocoa layer. Thoroughly mix the flour, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Add the sour cream, oil, and eggs, and mix briefly but thoroughly. Pour the batter into a Bundt pan with a greased bottom.

  3. Prepare the light layer in another bowl: whisk the sweetened condensed milk with the milk, eggs, and vanilla sugar into a thick mixture. Carefully pour it over the cocoa batter.

  4. Place the pan on a rimmed baking sheet and pour about 1 l of warm water into the sheet. Bake at approximately 180 °C (350 °F) for about 45 minutes.

  5. Let the cake set in the refrigerator for about 4 hours before unmolding.

Tip: Pour the light mixture slowly over a spoon held just above the batter to keep the layers from mixing. Add the water to the baking sheet once it is in the oven to avoid spilling it while moving it.
