These vanilla sour cream cookies from Grandma's recipe are shaped using a meat grinder fitted with a cookie attachment. The dough, made with butter, sugar, eggs, milk, sour cream, and vanilla, is combined with flour and chilled for one hour. If you don't have the attachment, roll out the dough and cut it into long pieces. Bake the cookies for about 20 minutes, then dust them with powdered sugar.

Instructions
Tip: tap a step to mark it as done.
Mix the flour with the baking powder. In a separate bowl, cream the sugar and butter together. Add the eggs, milk, sour cream, and vanilla, mix well, then stir in the flour mixture.
Place the dough in a bag and refrigerate for one hour. Feed it through a meat grinder fitted with a cookie attachment, or roll it out and cut it into pieces 15 cm long.
Arrange the pieces on a baking sheet and bake in an oven preheated to 170 °C (340 °F) for about 20 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden. Dust the baked cookies with powdered sugar.
Tip: Feed small pieces of dough into the grinder and keep the rest refrigerated—warm butter dough smears in the grinder, causing the strips to tear. Dust the cookies with powdered sugar while still warm so it sticks better.
