Green tea with cinnamon and bay leaf is a simple infusion with the spicy aroma of cinnamon. It is made with half a liter of water, a small cinnamon stick, a large bay leaf, and two teaspoons of loose-leaf green tea. Bring the water to a boil, remove from the heat, wait a minute or two, then add all the ingredients and steep, covered, for 15 minutes.

This amount is intended for one day, with the first glass typically drunk in the morning before breakfast.

  1. How to prepare the tea

Bring the water to a boil and remove from the heat. Wait 1–2 minutes, then add all the ingredients, cover, and steep for 15 minutes. This makes 0.5 l of tea to drink throughout the day.
  2. Drink the first glass before breakfast and the rest at any time during the day.

Tip: After 15 minutes, strain the tea into a pitcher or bottle so the green tea and bay leaf do not continue steeping, which would make the drink bitter over the course of the day. Break the cinnamon stick before steeping to release more of its aroma.
