This nonalcoholic Christmas punch is a hot drink made with fruit tea, pressed apple juice, and orange juice, fragrant with cinnamon, cloves, and star anise. It appeals to children and adults who do not drink alcohol or are driving.
Steep the tea with the spices, then add the juices and gently heat the punch without letting it boil.

Instructions
Tip: tap a step to mark it as done.
Steep the tea with the spices
Bring the water to a boil and remove from the heat. Add the tea bags, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and star anise, cover, and let steep for 10 minutes. Remove the tea bags.
Add the juices
Pour in the pressed apple juice and orange juice, add the sliced orange, and warm the punch over low heat. Do not let it boil, to preserve the flavor of the juices.
Sweeten
Stir honey into the hot punch to taste. Do not give honey to children under one year old; sweeten their punch with sugar instead.
Serve
Pour the punch through a strainer into mugs and add an orange slice to each. Let it cool slightly before serving to younger children.
Tip: Wash the orange with hot water before slicing, since the slices steep in the punch with their peel on. The apple and orange juices are sweet, so add the honey gradually and taste as you go.
