These small turkey patties with yogurt dip are made with ground turkey breast and baked on a sheet pan instead of fried. An egg and rolled oats hold the meat together, with the oats replacing a soaked bread roll.

Serve the patties with a cold dip made from Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, and dill. Pair them with vegetables, potatoes, or rice, and account for the side dish separately when calculating nutrition per serving.

Instructions

Tip: tap a step to mark it as done.

  1. Prepare the turkey mixture

Finely chop the onion, press the garlic, and chop the parsley. In a bowl, combine the ground turkey with the egg, rolled oats, onion, garlic, paprika, parsley, salt, and pepper. Let the mixture rest for 10 minutes so the oats can absorb the moisture.

  2. Shape the patties

Preheat the oven to 200 °C (400 °F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and brush the paper with the oil. With damp hands, shape the turkey mixture into 16 small patties and place them on the baking sheet.

  3. Bake

Bake for 18–20 minutes, turning the patties halfway through. They are done when the internal temperature reaches 74 °C (165 °F), or when they are white all the way through when cut open and the juices run clear.

  4. Prepare the dip

Coarsely grate the cucumber, sprinkle with salt, and let it sit briefly, then squeeze out the juice with your hands. Mix with the yogurt, pressed garlic, dill, and lemon juice.

  5. Serve

Serve the patties warm or cold with the yogurt dip.

Tip: Packaged ground turkey is often made from thigh meat and contains more fat than breast meat; check the label for details. Store the baked patties in a sealed container in the refrigerator for three days.
