This crunchy three-ingredient peanut brittle is a sheet of caramel packed with nuts, made with just sugar, peanuts, and a little water. Heat the sugar and water over low heat without stirring for about five minutes, then cook for another 2–3 minutes until golden brown. Pour the caramel and peanuts onto a buttered baking sheet or into a silicone mold and let it set. Enjoy it as a movie snack or use it to decorate desserts.

Instructions
Tip: tap a step to mark it as done.
Grease a baking sheet with butter or oil and set aside. You can also use a silicone mold, which does not need greasing.
Pour the water into a saucepan, add the sugar, and stir to combine. Heat over low heat without stirring for about 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes, stir the mixture and cook for another 2–3 minutes, until golden brown.
Add the peanuts and quickly stir them into the caramel. Remove the saucepan from the heat, pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, and spread it into an even layer with a wooden spoon.
Let the brittle cool completely, about 1 hour, then break it into irregular pieces.
Tip: Warm the peanuts in a warm oven before adding them; cold peanuts would cool the caramel quickly and make it thicken before you can spread it. Use a wooden spoon, as the caramel is very hot.
