Hot white chocolate with egg liqueur is a winter drink made with milk, cream, and melted white chocolate, with a color reminiscent of snow. Melt the white chocolate in milk heated with heavy whipping cream and vanilla sugar, then stir in the egg liqueur (advocaat) at the end. Do not let the drink boil, and serve it sprinkled with cinnamon. The recipe serves two; you can replace the egg liqueur with coconut liqueur or simply leave it out for children.

Instructions

Tip: tap a step to mark it as done.

  1. Heat the milk with the heavy whipping cream and vanilla sugar. Break the white chocolate into pieces, add it, and stir until melted. Finally, stir in the egg liqueur and remove the drink from the heat before it starts to boil.

  2. Pour the hot chocolate into glasses and sprinkle with ground cinnamon or cinnamon sugar.

Tip: Break the white chocolate into small pieces and heat the milk over low heat only. White chocolate is sensitive to heat and can easily scorch on the bottom of the pan and turn lumpy over high heat.
