This tuna and chickpea spread with scallions uses five ingredients and comes together in five minutes. Blend canned tuna, cooked chickpeas, chopped scallions, softened butter, and salt in a small blender until evenly combined. If you cook the chickpeas al dente, or just until firm to the bite, the spread will be slightly crunchy; cook them until soft for a smoother spread.
Spread it on fresh bread. It also tastes good while still slightly warm from blending.

Instructions

Cook the chickpeas and drain. Cook them al dente or until completely soft, depending on your preference.
Tip: Chickpeas cooked al dente will give the spread a slightly crunchy texture.
Let the butter soften at room temperature.
Place all the ingredients in a small blender and blend until evenly combined. Spread on fresh bread, ideally while still slightly warm from blending.
Tip: If you don't have time to cook chickpeas, use canned chickpeas instead—just rinse and drain them. They will make the spread smooth rather than crunchy.
