Cherry tomato tulips with cheese filling are a cold appetizer that stands out on the table. Cut a cross into each tomato, scoop out the inside, and fill with a mixture of mayonnaise or quark (a fresh dairy cheese), finely grated cheese, hard-boiled eggs, garlic, and walnuts. Arrange them on a plate as flowers, using green onions for stems and cucumber slices for leaves. Serve them at a summer party or as an edible decoration for a festive table.

Instructions
Tip: tap a step to mark it as done.
- Cut a cross into each cherry tomato, about halfway down, and scoop out the seeds and flesh. In a bowl, mix homemade mayonnaise or quark with the finely grated cheese and two mashed hard-boiled eggs.
- Add the pressed garlic and chopped walnuts, and season lightly with salt. Carefully spoon the filling into the tomatoes; it can peek out a little.
- Arrange the tomatoes neatly on a plate, using green onions as stems and cucumber slices as leaves.
Tip: Let the hollowed-out tomatoes drain cut-side down for ten minutes so the filling does not become watery. You can also fill them using a bag with a corner snipped off.
