Leek salad with pineapple, corn and ham is a juicy cold salad you can put together in about ten minutes. Finely chopped white parts of the leeks are mixed with diced canned pineapple, corn and grated ham, then tossed with mayonnaise and a little tartar sauce. You can serve it right away, but an hour in the refrigerator lets the flavors blend. Vegetarians can replace the ham with tofu or leave it out entirely.

Instructions
Tip: tap a step to mark it as done.
Wash the white parts of the leeks and chop finely. Drain the pineapple and cut it into small cubes. Add the drained corn and grated or finely chopped ham.
Tip: Ham is easier to grate than to chop.
Mix everything together, add the tartar sauce and all the mayonnaise, and mix thoroughly again. Serve the salad right away, or refrigerate it for an hour to let the flavors blend.
Tip: Before chopping, split the leeks lengthwise and rinse them under running water, as dirt often gets trapped between the layers. Save the green parts for soup.
