This homemade strawberry candy with condensed milk and butter is similar to soft caramel, with pieces of strawberry. Mix condensed milk with powdered sugar and butter in a saucepan, bring to a boil, then add strawberries and lemon juice and cook, stirring constantly, to 112–115°C (234–239°F). Immediately pour the mixture into a greased 23 × 23 cm pan, score patterns with a knife, and let cool. Decorate with candy or dried fruit if desired.

Instructions
Tip: tap a step to mark it as done.
Grease a 23 × 23 cm pan with butter. Combine the condensed milk, powdered sugar, and butter in a saucepan.
Bring to a boil over medium heat, then add the strawberries and lemon juice. Cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture reaches 112–115°C (234–239°F), the soft-ball stage.
Remove from the heat and immediately pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Once it has set slightly, score a pattern on the surface with a knife and let cool completely. Decorate with assorted candy or dried fruit if desired.
Tip: Without a thermometer, drop a little of the mixture into cold water; when you can gather it into a soft ball, it is ready. Use a deep saucepan, as the mixture bubbles vigorously and splatters when the strawberries are added.
