This pizza pasta bake with ham and button mushrooms is a casserole with pizza-inspired flavors. Cooked pasta is mixed with chopped ham, shredded cheese, ketchup, and mushrooms sautéed with onion, then seasoned with oregano, salt, and pepper. The mixture is spread in a greased baking dish, topped with Bolognese sauce and an egg-and-yogurt mixture, and sprinkled with shredded hard cheese. It is baked at 200°C (400°F) until the cheese is golden and makes a lunch for the whole family.

Cook the pasta in salted water. Heat the oil in a skillet, sauté the onion and mushrooms, and let cool.
Add the chopped ham, shredded cheese, ketchup, and sautéed mushrooms and onion to the cooked pasta. Season with salt, pepper, Vegeta vegetable seasoning, and oregano.
Mix thoroughly and transfer to a buttered baking dish. Pour the Bolognese sauce over the pasta and sprinkle with shredded hard cheese.
For the topping, whisk the eggs with the yogurt or cream and season with salt and pepper. Pour over the pasta, sprinkle with oregano, and add another layer of shredded cheese.
Bake in an oven preheated to 200°C (400°F) until golden.
Tip: Choose short pasta, such as penne, elbow macaroni, or rotini—the egg mixture will settle into their hollows and folds, making portions easy to serve.
