This banana-orange smoothie with yogurt and ginger is a thick fruit drink you can make in a blender in about ten minutes. Blend banana and orange with yogurt, a tablespoon of coconut oil, flaxseeds, a pinch of ground ginger, and whey powder. Drink the smoothie right away while it is fresh, preferably in the morning or as a midmorning snack. If you like, add cinnamon, turmeric, or lime juice, or swap the orange for berries.

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend thoroughly until smooth.
Drink right away while fresh, preferably in the morning.
Tip: Cut away the white pith from the orange and remove any seeds, as they could make the drink bitter. Grind the flaxseeds in a coffee grinder beforehand, since whole seeds would mostly remain intact in the drink.
